New Orleans is Hayley’s town, it’s where she was born, it’s where the war killed her parents. It’s one of the few places where Klaus was happy, it’s where his family was happy, even if it was for a short period of time, it was more than they are used to, it’s a place they got to call home.
Then come the witches, they tried to kill them, they tried to kill their child. I’m not saying that if I was in their place, I would pick the town over my child, but Klaus is not known for his smart decisions, and Hayley was just turned into a hybrid and stripped of her identity by the witches, so she was not in the right mind to make life changing decisions either, but the decison was made anyway.
And I understand why they want revenge, why they refuse to be ran out of a place they both once called home. The place is home for both of them, and they are willing to sacrifice a life with their child to make sure they take their home back. They are willing to make the sacrifice for a place that was for both one of the few places they were happy (probably the only one for Hayley).
Versus a guy that, if I’m not wrong, just end up in Mystic Falls before he was kidnapped and tortured for years, his connections to the place were a girl he met in captivity and end up dead, and a vampire that left him to die. It’s not his hometown, and Damon is the only person he has there, but Damon is gone now, if he’s going to stay to help him bring him back, that’s an explanation, but I still think that they should have made his connection to Mystic Falls stronger, either made his home, or let the girl he loved still be alive.
There’s a big difference between the bond Hayley and Klaus have to New Orleans, versus the bond Enzo has to Mystic Falls. I wouldn’t leave my child for any place, but maybe I would if that particular place was the only one where I was happy.
Hahahahaha, it’s a very special gifset.
Yes! Gotham is so awesome, I’m so in love with every aspect of the show, the characters are so good, the villains are fantastic, even the little kid is awesome. That show didn’t even need the connection to Batman, it’s an awesome show regardless of the fact that we “know” the characters, if the rest of the season is half as good as the pilot, I already have one of my favorite shows of the season.
But no show is going to beat HTGAWM (they didn’t think about social media when they thought about this title), my expectations for this show were so high, and I guess they were not high enough, because I love it so much more than I thought I would. Insert that “I wanna be her” gif here, because that woman is everything I want to be, and that bathroom scene, I don’t think TV can top that this season, I know it’s just the first week, but I don’t think it’s possible. And during the whole pilot, I was so worried that she was, you know what, but thank God they didn’t rip my heart out.
