I still love the spin-off and nothing will stop me from watching it, but I really don’t understand why they keep giving people more reasons to hate it. If Julie Plec wants to pay me, I’ll quit my job and defend the spin-off full time, but she’s making it hard.
Why people think that redemption equals rainbows, butterflies and hearts? Even more for someone like Klaus, even if at some point he turns into a real decent person, which is very unlikely to happen, that will probably take a very long time. And some people say The Originals will not be a dark show, Klaus telling people to kill his own child is the most disgusting thing we ever saw him doing. I’m not a baby or Hayley fan and I was shocked for a minute there because I thought Klaus was better than killing pregnant women, and pregnant with his own flesh and blood.
The fact is that most of the time Klaus behaves like a child, he’s impulsive, he’s petty, he does crazy things when he doesn’t get what he wants, he will even self-sabotage just to prove that he’s more powerful than everyone else. Look at all the things he did with Caroline, and he’s in love with her. Or all the things he did to his family, the second they do something he doesn’t agree with, he puts them in boxes. I don’t get why anyone think that he will turn good after changing one diaper.
